Unfortunately there is no guide-book or instruction manual handed to us when we enter this world. We are faced with ever-changing life situations which we welcome or fight; learn from or choose to forget.
Everyone is on their own individual life path, searching for reasons and importance for being. Some go through their journey quietly, others kicking and screaming all the way. Wherever this journey may take you remember to look for the pauses between the climbs and the falls and be grateful you are still on this beautiful path of life.
Gratitude brings a powerful positive mindset where even the smallest of things can bring joy. A beautiful sunset, appreciating the magnificence of nature, or just a friendly smile from a stranger. When you start by expressing your gratitude for the small things in life it becomes a habit. This habit will help counteract the negative judgemental thoughts that can creep into the mind from time to time.
As you practice gratitude you may even become more aware of negative thoughts. Be grateful for this! A negative thought can be quashed simply by creating its nemesis – a positive affirmation of gratitude.
Unfortunately, we all have experienced unkind/judgemental thoughts towards others. If you can be aware of these thoughts and then turn it around into what you are grateful for, then you are on the right path to a happier, more positive you.
